PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Background

Fort Bend County Precinct 4 commissioned AUTOARCH to design a new senior center to meet the growing needs of the Mission Bend community. Located adjacent to the Mission Bend Branch Library—also designed by AUTOARCH—the new facility was envisioned as a welcoming hub for wellness, recreation, and community engagement for the County’s senior community.

Approach

AUTOARCH designed a 23,500 SF facility tailored to support health, fitness, and social connection. The program includes a community clinic, multipurpose rooms, café, natatorium with locker rooms, fitness spaces, and exam rooms—all planned to promote accessibility, safety, and comfort. The building’s layout encourages easy navigation and flexibility, while the architecture reflects an inviting character.

Result

The Mission Bend Senior Center provides a vibrant, inclusive space where seniors can access vital services and enjoy a wide range of programming. Its integration of clinical care, recreational amenities, and gathering areas establishes it as a community cornerstone—enhancing quality of life for Precinct 4 residents and strengthening the public service network in Fort Bend County.
