AUTOARCH designed a specialized healthcare training facility for HCC’s McGovern Campus, located within the historic Nabisco Factory in the Texas Medical Center. This 11,500 SF project was envisioned as a high-performance pharmacology and clinical training hub to support Coleman College’s expanding healthcare programs.
AUTOARCH led the adaptive reuse effort, designing modern labs and instructional spaces within the preserved industrial framework of the historic building. The program includes a Pharmacy Lab, IV Lab, Hospital Lab, large lecture hall, shared classrooms, student lockers, a welcoming reception area, and an administrative suite with conference facilities. All learning environments were outfitted with advanced lab equipment and robust IT infrastructure to reflect real-world healthcare settings. The design was delivered under a fast-tracked schedule and strict budget without compromising quality or performance.
The McGovern Campus Pharmacology facility is a standout example of innovation in healthcare education. The project was recognized by the President of Coleman College, the President of the Texas Medical Center, and HCC leadership for its creative design, programmatic responsiveness, and successful execution.
