Through Stonehenge Holdings, the Fort Bend County and FBC Sheriff ’s Office embarked on an ambitious project to construct a comprehensive training complex in Rosenberg, with the groundbreaking taking place on January 10, 2024. This extensive project, covering a total of 189,523 SF, is designed to be a multifaceted training hub for various emergency and law enforcement services.
AUTOARCH’s design for this complex included a two-story training building of 99,267 SF, featuring numerous classrooms, a 250-seat lecture hall, and a kitchen designed for daily use as well as a hub for emergency situations. The complex also boasts a wide range of specialized facilities: a Gun Range with 25 and 100-yard indoor ranges, a simulation building with modular panels that can be set up for training exercises, a SWAT building, a driving obstacle course, a skills tower, and a dedicated K9 training area. The project demanded meticulous planning and collaboration with multiple agencies, for example: collaborating with GHC 911 for the Dispatch Center and making sure it could transition to battery power with zero downtime and the entire complex could function as an emergency command base.
The Fort Bend County Public Safety Training Complex is a campus that boosts a state-of-the-art facility, facilitating comprehensive training for first responders. With its diverse range of training environments and careful attention to operational needs, it significantly enhances the preparedness and capabilities of the Sheriff ’s Office, Dispatch, EMS, and other agencies. This project is a testament to AUTOARCH’s ability to manage complex, multi-agency designs, ensuring each element of the campus is tailored to the specific needs of the departments it serves.
