In collaboration with HDR, AUTOARCH designed the 248,800 SF New Coleman College for Health Sciences to be housed in a 10-floor tower that sits on a 1.25 acre site in the Texas Medical Center. The project includes a two story lobby space, with a second level bridge that spans over Pressler Street connecting the new building to the existing Coleman College Building. The lower three floors are public in nature, and is where the majority of the student focused spaces and collaboration spaces are located. Floors 4 – 7 house simulation labs and the upper floors are where the faculty and administration offices are located. To encourage internal interaction, there are collaborative spaces and common break areas on each floor.
