Fort Bend ISD selected AUTOARCH to design Armstrong Elementary School—the district’s first two-story elementary campus. The 93,000 SF facility was envisioned to set a new standard for functionality, flexibility, and site adaptability across future FBISD elementary schools.
AUTOARCH worked closely with the district to align the building design with FBISD’s educational goals, program requirements, and long-term planning objectives. The two-story layout was carefully organized to support modern learning environments while optimizing site usage. Forward-thinking planning allowed for future expansion without compromising the original structure. Circulation, daylighting, and flexible learning spaces were prioritized to enhance the student and staff experience while ensuring long-term adaptability.
Armstrong Elementary establishes a scalable, efficient model for future FBISD campuses. The facility successfully merges programmatic innovation with smart site adaptation and remains poised to accommodate the district’s future growth. As the first of its kind in the district, it reflects AUTOARCH’s commitment to educational design that evolves with its users.
